Orchestral Mockup Production

Orchestral Mock Up Production

with Oscar Senén

August 6-8, 2022

Schedule: 9am-12pm / 2pm- 5pm CEST

Composers these days need to be able to create realistic mockups for their projects, regardless of these being recorded with real players or not: These audio demos are what director / producer will listen to to make an idea of what the final score will sound like. And in the cases when it’s not possible to record with real players, that mockup will end up in the final dub, so every detail of the actual “performance” of the composer counts.

Course contents:

Basic and Advanced Skills with the DAW (Cubase will be used, but everything will be applicable to any other software)

Learning how to program with orchestral libraries (different examples)

Choosing the best articulations to get the most realistic sound.

Which sounds / articulations / instruments sound more realistic and which ones are harder to make sound real.

Which instruments you can easily leave with samples in the final mix (no need to record).
